At the helm of our kitchen is Executive Chef Fernando Mercado, a culinary visionary whose passion for creating exceptional dining experiences is matched only by his dedication to elevating every dish to new heights. Chef uprooted his family from Tampa, Florida and moved to Michigan because he believed in the vision that is Terra - when you’re here, you are family and all gatherings are centered around none other than food.
Drawing inspiration from his own mother and dishes from around the globe, Chef has crafted a menu that is both refined and approachable, inviting guests to explore and enjoy bold flavors and inventive presentations.

At the heart of our bar is Nicholas Fortino, an award-winning bar professional with over a decade of experience. Nicholas combines a passion for global cultures with a refined culinary approach that shows in his elevated cocktails. Passionate about mentorship and hospitality, he emphasizes the proper use of fresh, high-quality ingredients in his programs. With an eye for detail and a commitment to creativity, Fortino brings both artistry and precision to every cocktail and guest interaction.

At the head of our team is our General Manager, Marko Juncaj.
With more than 25 years of leadership and hospitality management experience, Marko has dedicated his career to mastering every aspect of restaurant operations. He worked his way through the management ranks before spending over 15 years as a successful restaurant owner.
Over the past six years, he has also played a key role in corporate leadership, helping create, grow, and expand multiple successful hospitality concepts. His passion for exceptional service, operational excellence, and team development sets the standard for the entire guest experience at Terra.
